Q. What documents are required for booking an export container?
*A. Following documents are needed:
During Gate in :
- Valid Shipping Bill
- Invoice
- Packing List.
Customs:
- Valid Shipping Bill, Invoice and Packing List.
- Any other document required by customs on case to case basis
Rail out :
- TR1 and TR2 copy, invoice, packing list, Let Export Order (LEO), Rail Forwarding Note
Q. How many containers can I book at one time?
*A. You can book a minimum of 1 container. There is no limit on the maximum number of containers you can book.

*A. Yes container repair facilities are available at our Terminals.

Q. How do I track my containers?
*A. You can track by two ways :
1. Website:-
On our website -http://www.gatewayrail.co.in/index.asp, key in your container number and click on Export for Export container and click on Import for Import container.
2. SMS:-
In your message box you need to type GR <space> CTR followed by X (Incase of export container) and M (Incase of import container) <space> container number.
It needs to be sent to 57333
Please note the syntax with example :

Q. How do I reach GatewayRail terminals?
*A. Ludhiana Teminal - It is on National Highway No.1 (G.T Road) and situated at 300 Mile stone, just opposite Gati Warehouse. Quite renowned landmark in Sanehwal Area.
Q. Does GatewayRail provide door-to-door service?
*A. Yes, Gateway Rail provides end-to-end inter-modal transportation of containers seamlessly integrating door pickup of containers, customs clearance, rail transportation and door delivery of containers to customer or shipping line.
