We wish to inform you that because of our effort to evacuate import containers from the gateway ports to avoid port congestion our
Inland Container Depot (ICD) Gurugram / Ludhiana / Faridabad / Viramgam
are severely congested making it very difficult for us to operate normally. We have a severe shortage of staff and therefore we are concentrating on giving delivery of import containers as quickly as possible. Due to staff shortage we have also not been able to modify our business software system to generate documents incorporating various applicable valid directives being given by the authorities. Therefore, we have no alternative but to collect charges as per our billing software system for the time being as it will be impossible for us to do all the adjustments manually since the number of transactions are huge. In addition, in anticipation of the waiver of the storage charges some of our customers are not coming forward to take delivery.
We assure you that we are quite mindful of the difficulties being faced by your organisation as we ourselves are going through the same compelling situation.
We will adjust such excess collection from any of our customer as per all such applicable valid directives given by authorities by issuing a credit note which will be adjusted against their dues.
